How to pay for Steam with a virtual dollar card
Games, DLC and Steam Wallet funds are paid for by card in the browser or the client. With a virtual Visa card holding a dollar balance you buy without exposing your bank card and cap what each purchase can cost.

How do you pay for Steam with a virtual card?
On Steam you can pay for a game straight from the cart or add funds to your wallet and spend them later. The payment methods and currency shown depend on the region of the account; the payment screen shows what applies to you, so check the amount before you confirm.
Guarapay issues a virtual prepaid Visa card with a US-dollar balance in about two minutes, in the Guarapay app or the Telegram mini app @guarapay_bot. The card works online wherever Visa cards are accepted. Some merchants may decline cards according to their own rules, so check in the app that the payment was approved.
How do you buy a game on Steam step by step?
- Open the Guarapay app or the Telegram mini app @guarapay_bot and create an account.
- Issue the virtual card; the issue fee is US$ 10 on Standard or US$ 100 on Premium.
- Top up the game price plus the US$ 0.25 per-purchase fee, using a Visa or Mastercard bank card in your own name or USDT.
- On Steam, add the game to your cart and go to checkout.
- Choose credit or debit card as the payment method and enter the number, expiry date and security code.
- Use the name and billing address as they appear in the app and check the amount and currency.
- Complete the purchase and look for the charge notification in the app, which arrives right away.
Is it better to pay directly or add funds to the wallet?
Paying from the cart creates one charge per purchase, and each approved charge costs US$ 0.25 on the card. Adding funds to the Steam Wallet bundles several future purchases into a single charge, which cuts the number of per-purchase fees.
In return, the wallet balance stays on Steam and follows its rules, refunds included. If you buy only a few games a year, paying directly is usually enough; if you always buy on sale, you may prefer to fund the wallet in one go.
How much does it cost to pay for Steam with the card?
The game price is what Steam shows on the payment screen; Guarapay does not change it. On the card side, you top up the purchase amount, the top-up fee (2% with USDT, 5% with a bank card) is taken at top-up, and each approved charge costs US$ 0.25.
On Premium the USDT top-up fee is 1% (by bank card it stays 5%). There is no monthly card fee. If you top up with a local bank card, your bank may add its own taxes and exchange rate; with USDT the top-up lands directly in dollars.
The card has a monthly limit of US$ 10,000 on Standard and US$ 100,000 on Premium. During a sale, add up what you plan to buy and adjust the monthly cap and the per-purchase cap in the app.
Why was my Steam purchase declined?
- Insufficient balance: it must cover the game and the US$ 0.25 per-purchase fee.
- Caps in the app: the monthly or per-purchase cap may be lower than the cart total.
- Frozen card: unfreeze it in the app before trying again.
- A name or billing address that differs from what the app shows.
- Several attempts in a row: Steam may temporarily block new attempts, so wait before repeating.
- If none of this explains it, contact support through the Telegram bot in the app or on the website.
