How to pay Duolingo and language apps with a virtual dollar card?
If the language app offers checkout on its website, add the virtual Visa card with a dollar balance to the account and confirm the plan; if you subscribe inside the app, the charge goes through your phone’s store. Top up the plan price first and cancel renewal in the same place you subscribed.

Where does a language app charge the subscription: the website or the phone store?
It depends on where you subscribed: on the website you pay with the card saved on the service account, and inside the phone app you pay through the App Store or Google Play. Check the payment method on the subscription screen of your account.
Monthly and yearly plans renew on their own. The price and terms of each plan are what the app shows on the payment screen; Guarapay does not change them.
How to pay for a language app plan step by step?
- Open the Guarapay app or the Telegram mini app @guarapay_bot and create your account.
- Issue the virtual card; the issue fee is US$ 10 on Standard or US$ 100 on Premium.
- Top up the price of the plan you chose, plus the US$ 0.25 per-purchase fee, with a Visa or Mastercard bank card in your own name or with USDT.
- On the app’s website, sign in and open the subscription or payment area. If you subscribe on the phone, add the card in the app store.
- Choose the plan, enter the number, expiry date, security code, name and billing address as shown in the Guarapay app and confirm.
- Check the charge notification in the app, which arrives instantly.
Yearly or monthly plan: how much balance to keep on the card?
On a yearly plan the amount is taken at once, so top up the price of the year in one go and note the renewal date. On a monthly plan, keep each month’s price on the balance before the charge day.
If a renewal is declined for lack of balance, the service may move you back to the free plan until a payment goes through, under its own rules.
How to cancel a language app renewal?
- Cancel in the same place you subscribed: on the website account or in the phone store.
- Freezing the card only blocks new charges and does not cancel the plan.
- Keep the cancellation receipt and the confirmation email.
- Do it a few days before the renewal date.
How much does it cost to pay for a language app with the card?
The plan price is what the app shows on the payment screen. Each approved renewal counts as one charge.
The top-up fee (2% with USDT, 5% with a bank card) is taken at top-up and each approved charge costs US$ 0.25. On Premium the top-up fee with USDT is 1% (a bank card stays at 5%). There is no monthly fee; the issue fee is paid once.
The monthly spend limit is US$ 10,000 on Standard and US$ 100,000 on Premium. If you top up with a local bank card, your bank may charge taxes and apply its own exchange rate; with USDT the top-up lands directly in dollars.
Why was the payment declined?
- Not enough balance: it must cover the amount and US$ 0.25 per purchase.
- Caps in the app: the monthly or per-purchase cap may be below the amount.
- Frozen card: unfreeze it in the app before trying again.
- Name or billing address different from the ones shown in the app.
- Subscription made through the phone store: the card must be added there, not only on the language app account.
- Try again after a few minutes and, if it still fails, contact the support bot on Telegram in the app or on the site.

Can I pay for Duolingo with a virtual card?
The Guarapay card is a Visa and works online wherever Visa is accepted, but the service or the app store may decline cards under their own rules. Check in the app that the payment was approved.
Can I pay for a language app without a bank card?
Yes, if the service accepts the card: you top up the virtual card with USDT or a bank card and pay the plan from the balance.
Does the virtual card renew the subscription on its own?
