How do you pledge to a Kickstarter project with a virtual card?

  1. Open the Guarapay app or the Telegram mini app @guarapay_bot and issue the virtual card.
  2. Top up the pledge, any shipping the project shows, and $ 0.25 per approved purchase, with USDT or a bank card in your own name.
  3. On the project page, choose a reward and continue to the payment step.
  4. Enter the card number, expiry date and security code, and the name and billing address shown in the app.
  5. Confirm the pledge and keep the email from the platform; the charge appears in the app when it is made.

When is a crowdfunding pledge charged?

On Kickstarter, a pledge is generally charged only when the project reaches its funding goal, and only at the end of the campaign, not when you pledge. On other platforms the rule differs, so read the terms on the project page before you confirm.

That is why the balance must be on the card on the day the campaign ends: if it is short at that moment, the charge is declined and the platform may cancel the pledge or ask you to update the card.

How much does it cost to back a project with the card?

  • Issue fee, paid once: $ 10 on Standard or $ 100 on Premium; no monthly fee.
  • Top-up fee: 2% with USDT on Standard and 1% on Premium; 5% with a bank card, on both plans.
  • $ 0.25 per approved purchase, taken from the balance with the purchase; a declined purchase is not charged.
  • Monthly spending limit: $ 10,000 on Standard and $ 100,000 on Premium.
  • Shipping and local taxes on the reward are set by the project and the customs of your country, and they are not part of the card costs.

How do you make sure the money is there at the end of the campaign?

Write down the end date of the campaign and top up a few days before it, with the pledge, the shipping and $ 0.25. Check the balance in the app on the day before.

Do not spend that balance on other purchases in the meantime. If you pledge to several projects, add up all the pledges that end in the same week.

What if the project fails or the reward is late?

If the project does not reach its goal, an all-or-nothing platform charges nothing, so your balance stays on the card. If it is funded, the reward date is the creator’s estimate and may slip, and the charge is not reversed by the delay alone.

Read the platform’s rules on refunds and creator updates before you back a project, and back only what you can afford to wait for.

FAQ

Does Kickstarter accept virtual prepaid cards?

It takes cards at the payment step, and a virtual Visa works online wherever Visa is accepted; the platform can apply its own checks, so look at the result in the app.

When does Kickstarter charge my card?

Generally at the end of the campaign and only if the project is funded; read the terms on the project page.

What happens if my card has no balance when the campaign ends?

The charge is declined, nothing is taken, and the platform may cancel the pledge or ask you to update the payment method.

Can I back a project with USDT?

Not directly: you top up the card with USDT in the Guarapay app and pledge with the card in dollars.
